Job Vacancy - PDU!
Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service (NCVS) is at the heart of Nottingham's voluntary sector, and prides itself on keeping the voluntary sector connected to issues affecting it. They are looking for an individual who can develop and grow the existing Practice Development Unit (PDU), which NCVS hosts in partnership with Opportunity Nottingham.
A key aim of the role is to encourage sharing of good practice and learning when working with people facing multiple disadvantage, via the PDU online portal and programme of events.
This is an exciting opportunity to take the PDU to the next level, increasing cross-sector partnerships to influence system change.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with people facing multiple and complex needs and have excellent research, communication and influencing skills. They must be able to develop effective relationships with a wide range of agencies, working across a variety of disciplines in the strategic public, private and voluntary sectors.
The role involves:
- Developing and growing an established Practice Development Unit (PDU) to share good practice amongst those working with people experiencing multiple and complex needs.
- Growing professional development opportunities, working with facilitators to deliver learning events, workshops, seminars and Communities of Practice (CoP).
- Developing shared learning materials, including resources for online learning
- Developing, producing and distributing regular e-newsletters and other mailings to PDU members.
