Opportunity Nottingham Cook Book has arrived!
Opportunity Nottingham's ETE & Lifeskills Worker, Denise, recently produced a recipe book for Beneficiaries to use during lockdown to expand their cooking skills.
"Lockdown had many unforeseen consequences. One of them is that I finally had time to put together a cook book aimed at Beneficiaries who may never have cooked a meal before. Beneficiaries and Expert Citizens have been involved during the whole process, contributing recipes and feeding back on the format.
There is a 'How To' section – for example, what foods you need to keep in stock and what equipment would be useful, including instructions on how to cook basic foods like pasta and rice. The cook book has 4 sections – Meals for Beginners, Meals for Confident Cooks, Lunches, and Puddings and Cakes. Each recipe has a photo and a list of equipment needed, as well as the usual ingredients needed."
An electric or printed copy for hostels and workers or service-users can be requested/ordered FREE by emailing Denise on firstname.lastname@example.org.
