Join the conversation on Wednesday 3rd July 2019, for the first ever Multiple Disadvantage Day!
Along with 11 other Fulfilling Lives projects across England, Opportunity Nottingham is encouraging people to #seethefullpicture when it comes to Multiple Disadvantage. Visit www.multipledisadvantageday.org to find out more and get involved!
Multiple Disadvantage is a combination of homelessness, mental ill health, substance misuse, offending and domestic abuse. People facing Multiple Disadvantage may also be living in poverty, in debt and sex-working. They are also likely to face stigma and discrimination on a daily basis, leading to fear, isolation and relapse.
Accessing help can be difficult; people don't know where to turn first, or where to go for help. The reality is that people can, and do die prematurely, because they simply cannot access the appropriate care and support.
Multiple Disadvantage Day aims to instigate change, through starting a conversation and encouraging everyone to #seethefullpicture. Join the conversation today, and you could be helping people who are facing Multiple Disadvantage in Nottingham City right now, access improved support in the future!
