We are now accepting attendee nominations for our next PIE Action Learning Set; Working Towards a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE).
A Psychologically Informed Environment is one that takes into account the psychological make-up. It considers the thinking, personalities and past experience of participants in the way it operates. It's an approach to supporting people, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or have been diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.
Our Action Learning Set (five short workshops) will extend the knowledge of attendees, enabling them to take small steps towards creating aspects of the PIE approach within their organisation. You can find out more by opening the PIE Action Learning Set Invite at the bottom of this page.
We are looking for two nominations from each interested organisation. As this is a group learning activity, participants will need to attend all of the sessions to support group reflection and learning, and at least part of their role must involve working with people facing multiple and complex needs.
Workshops will take place on Wednesday 5th April, Wednesday 3rd May, Wednesday 7th June, Wednesday 5th July, and Wednesday 2nd August 2017, between 2pm and 4pm in Nottingham City Centre.
If you would like to make a nomination or require more information please contact Grant Everitt, Evaluation and Learning Lead at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0115 8504128. All nominations must be made by the end of March 2017.
